Local Area Connection Status Window not showing up

Hi! It's been a while since I last posted.

I again seek your help.

As mentioned in the title, my Local Area Connection status does not show up when I double-click the icon. Also, I don't have any Connection icon in my system tray.

Therefore, I don't know if I'm connected or not. (I had problems with my provider again... they're asking me for my IP address and connection status, but I can't give 'em anything 'coz of this particular problem)

I believe this was caused by the Vortex Prestige software (an "appearance" transformation software like Vista Inspirat...) or me using CCleaner. I don't know really.

Use system restore to go back to before the problem started.

Unfortunately, I can't reverse the changes. My system restore was accidentally deleted (by turning SR off).

The two boxes TonyT was talking about is already check-marked. No luck.
