Loading Windows too long

    My Question is this,
    what can be done to shorten the lead up all the config stuff that comes up before
    the Windows screen. Win. 98SE
    My setting in MS Config Startup is on
    Selective Startup what will happen if I untick in Advanced Settings
    Enable Startup Menu will that stop loading all my programs that run in Startup or just the Config. stuff that runs before Windows starts.

    Hi Hawk,
    How long does it take (minutes) from starting the PC to getting a
    Windows user interface that you can work with ?
    Are the apps that you load at start up neccessary ?
