Hi guys and gals... here's my problem.

Too much information was stored on the computer to the point that there was 0 hard disk space left. It went unnoticed and the computer was shut down as usual.

However, when I turned it on the following day, there was a message saying that there was not enough resources to load the User profile. I then decided to clear some hard disk space worth about 3 to 4 GB. I then shut down the computer and turned it on again. Unfortunately, though the message is gone, the full User profile still can't be loaded (user profile being unable to load meaning some desktop icons that are usually there, wallpaper and the normal programs that load with start up are gone). I've tried the reboot more than once but to no avail. What should I do?

    Thanks
    Jermyn

Are there any specific errors in the eventvwr ?

Sometimes profile issues can be a pain to fix and it is simpler to create a new profile and copy the files and settings across.

What's eventvwr? There has to be a way to get everything back to normal. I can't even do a system restore.

Sorry I meant Event Viewer (START > RUN > eventvwr > OK )

Look in the application and system log after logging in to see if there are any errors related to the profile.
