Windows 7 ... Windows Live Mail ... when I click on a link in an email message it shows me the link URL and says "application not found ". Going to that link from a browser works OK. Emailed pictures open up just fine but I can't go to any links. I ran free version of Advanced System Care 5 the other day and probably messed up something in the registery. I have run this before without this happening. Can this be fixed or do I have to reinstall and lose everything?

Not familiar with Advanced System Care 5, but have you looked to see if there was an undo or restore to get it back like it was? Registry programs are usually a no-no with most people. I have seen some of them that would require a complete reinstall of the OS to get the PC back up and running. Of course than any info that was on the PC would be gone.

Never mind. While attempting to undo the effects of Advances System Care 5 I Restored from a month ago. In so doing I deleted a month's worth of MS Updates. That causes some holes. When I did MS Update and restored them all the mail program and links work just fine now. Never ever use a Registry Cleaner.
