I'm sure the solution is just a matter of settings.
But we do not know how.

    Problem:

    Windows XP Pro
    Outlook Express

    We get an e-mail.
That e-mail has a link listed.

However, when we click on it it does not work.

Note: The link is good - we can copy and paste in Microsoft Internet Exporer
    and the link works.

So, what do we do to get links activated from Outlook Express ?

(My other computer has no problem - Windows XP Pro and Outlook Express.
    Links in e-mails work.)

    Thanks

This sometimes cures the problem. Close all open windows and go to Start, Run and type regsvr32 /u urlmon.dll (note the 2 spaces) and press enter. Again, Start, Run and type regsvr32 urlmon.dll (note the space) and press enter.

Also, in Internet Explorer click on Tools, Internet Options, Programs Tab and make sure there is a check next to the option which says that IE should check to make sure it is the default web browser.

    Also, try here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;257464

Check in Internet Explorer under Tools > Internet Options > Programs tab that Outlook Express is your default emailer.

Do you have a popup stopper installed?- in IE 6 the included popup stopper is enabled by default (Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab) - try disabling it or adjust the settings.

Compare the settings with those on the other computer which opens links.
