When I click on a link from either a web page or windows Live mail it takes forever to bring up the link. Some of them have taken as long as 5 mins. This just started and I have no idea why.If I type anaddress in or click on a favorite etc. it comes up right away. Im running xp/sp3 with IE 8. Does anyone have any ideas for me to try? DPI.

In IE go to Tools/Delete Browsing History and put a check in everything but Passwords. See if that helps.

I tried Fire Fox and determined that the problem was IE so I cleaned up history in IE and it worked. I guess my cleanup program doesnt cleanup everything. Thanks DPI.

Most of those programs like that are Snake Oil. Phony. Windows does a good job of cleaning up stuff. Disk Cleanup does a great job and it is built into all versions of Windows.
