links on web pages not coming on

    when i go on to a web page a click a link, the new window comes up with the tool bar but the page does not come up i can see right throw it to the page under it. all the rest my internet things work perfect could you plz keep replys to the basics cos i am pretty new to computers thanks for any help u can give me
