This link goes to the main page. It comes up just fine. I cannot go to any of the links on that page unless I tell it to open in an IETab.

Also if I stop it from searching, I cannot go to any desktop link. I have to close FF 3.0.1 in order to get the links to work.

As far as I know, this is the only web page that does that.

    Any takers?

    Hi Bill,

FYI, all links on the page open normally (in FF 3.0.1) for me, without having to use IETab.

    Throwing out an idea:
Clear FFox cache and try the site again.

    FYI:
The site works just fine for me, both in IE7(default browser) and FF3(no IE tab), but that doesn't help you. Sorry :(

I have no problem with F3.0.1, either. The idea of clwaeing the Cache is excellent (I clear the Cache, on exit).

    Thanks goddez1

I cleared cache and tried again. No change.

Also noticed that when I click one of the links my FF goes to 99% cpu used in the task manager.

The last time I went from FF3.0 to 3.0.1, I did not do a clean install. But it is really funny that it only happens on this one site.

I think I'll try a fresh profile. I'll report back.....

Tried clean install with a purge of registry items - no help

Tried fresh profile - no help

Used Google and made a new link to the site and as soon as I click on it, the site comes in but the in progress circle is continually running and the CPU is at 99%.

    Still thinking.....

Did you have any problem with 3.0?
I decided for some unknown reasons to install Firefox portable . The profile is part of the program, and it is not found in the Add/Remove. I uninstalled the regular Firefox3.0.1, before installing the portable. I was able to import/copy all the folders. For instance I have placed my Personal Toolbar Folder in the 3.0.1 bookmark toolbar. I left only the LatestHeadlines and PortableApps.com, leaving the rest of the toolbar for my favoite websites. I have had no problem with the portable, which I, also, in my flash drive.

While your trying to figure this out why not see how friendly the site can be? I noticed a link to an email contact named "schmooze contact us ":
    schmooze@jewishworldreview.com

Perhaps they will be quick and helpful, (it could happen)! Maybe you aren't the first person to inquire about this.

This will have to go into the realm of :confused::confused: Today the site is working like it is supposed to.

It wasn't working on my box but was working on yours.

I give up ever being able to say that I know a little about computers.

    Thanks for your help....

Now you know how widespread is the power of the gremlins.
But, surely, I would like to know why. You may want to send a feedback to the address listed by goddez1, with a general description of your system.
