Starting yesterday, I can't make any links work that come in emails - none! - unless I go to Open With and select Firefox everytime. I tried System Restore and got "Can't use System Restore. Access is denied 0x80070005. Does anyone know what's going on?

What 3rd party Security / AV software do you have installed? That would be the 1st place to look.

    Avast!

Thank you. I have Avast!, and I've disabled the firewall. Maybe that was it, and I have a firewall in my router.

    Nothing worked, yet

Well, disabling the firewall on Avast! didn't help, and neither did the clean reboot. Still have the same problems with links. I do appreciate your effort to help, though. Any other ideas? Should I reinstall Office?

Since the behavior happened a few days ago without a reason I would run System Restore in Safe Mode and restore your computer back to an earlier time before these problems occurred.

I have tried to mark this "Solved" a couple of times. There is already a check there, so it looks like it's solved, but notes to me indicate otherwise. So I check it, and then it says I've made it unsolved. I'm sorry, but I can't figure out how to do this - and I know it must be simple!

Try marking the thread as Solved again. It could be an issue with your Internet browser so if it doesn't work then see if you can mark the thread as Solved using another browser.
