linking to my server in the uk for data on my laptop

Hi I have a Microsoft server in the office in the UK and I am in the Middle East running windows xp on my laptop. I have a VPN set up on my laptop to register on to my office network that is working fine and I can download emails from the server.

What I need to do now is to set a short cut on my laptop that can get me into files on my server such as Sage as again the data is held in a file on the server. I have just forgoton how to do it. I have set up a remote login to the desktop of my computer in the UK office but it is very slow doing it that way.

So I know that all the passwords and IP address are good.

Any ideas please?
