About a month ago I got a Google phone number that was tied to a gmail acct, which has since been deleted. Although, Google fairly warned me that other apps that might be linked to that gmail account would be harmed, but I deleted it anyway. Now, I want to try and link that phone number to another gmail acct, but I haven't seen anywhere that I can do that. I had a friend that called the number, but it wouldn't go through. I see where it has a record of a call I made, but again, there's nowhere that shows me that I can vfy that's the phone number.

This link may be helpful. Click on the "port, change, or transfer your number" and then select "I want to transfer my Google Voice number to another account ".

    Hope it helps.

Thanks Mitchell. That suggestion would have worked if I hadn't already PERMANENTLY deleted the original gmail account it was already tied to...I think. Sorry to sound so much like a dumb blonde, but sometimes it is hard to remember how all the Google stuff is tied together.

I think you are going to have to contact Google Support, which doesn't really appear to be to customer friendly. I am sure a Google specialist would be able to port that number to your new account.

Wish I could be more helpful. Maybe someone else here can shed some light.
