    Hi Hello guys

I have a link file eg L2C.lnk in my desktop that link to an application in which I have placed a shortcut key eg Ctrl-Alt-C. Then i copy an another similar file L2C.lnk to the same desktop and since it has the same name it override the old link. If i try to place the same shortcut key ie Ctrl-Alt-C in the new new L2c.lnk, it is not allowed as the sequence is already used earlier.

How can i remove the old lnk shortcut key so that i can reuse the same sequence Ctrl-Alt-C. It must be somewhere in the registry but where and how to remove it? Help guys!

Hi FuzMic, This is way out of my comp experience but after doing a "Google" I found this which should enable you to change the shortcut.

How do I disable Ctrl Shift C in Windows 10?
    1. On Windows 10 go to Settings->Time & Language->Language->Keyboard. Click on the link "Input language hot keys" and change or remove
the "Key sequence Between input languages" – user3419297. ...
    2. To disable Ctrl+Shift using AutoHotkey add the hotkey <^Shift::return ; do nothing "<^" means LCtrl to your script.

Try #1 First and see if that does the trick.
Remember -- Ctrl+Alt+Del is already in the OS to bring up the Menu for Task Manager, shutdown etc.

You started your Thread in Windows 10 Forum and have made no mention of Windows 7 in your request for help.
Do you require any further assistance?

In addition to RL's note above, your profile shows your OS as Windows XP.
