    hi
usually when we right click a folder or others from the drives , there's a 'send to desktop as shortcut' . Mine does not have this link, I hope someone would guide me on how to have this link . Presently I do the "create shortcut" then cut & paste on the desktop :D

The link PeteC gave should work... I prefer this route:

    1. In your Start Search box, type shell:sendto, press ENTER
    2. Right-click the Desktop (create shortcut) icon & choose Copy from the context menu
    3. In your Start Search box type C:\Users\default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo, press ENTER
    4. Right-click an empty space in the SendTo folder & from the context menu choose Paste
    5. Done
