Generally, there is no relation between "an application" and "wireless connection."

Could you recall something you have done the same time?

    Welcome to Windows BBS, Felipe.

Many spyware cleanings damage the Winsock service stack. Without a working stack you will not be able to obtain a DHCP address, which is essentially what the 'limited or no connectivity' message means.

If using Windows XP Service Pack 2:

    Start, Run, CMD

    netsh winsock reset
Wait for a prompt that a restart is needed. Restart your computer.

If you are not using Windows XP Service Pack 2:

    Download and run WinsockFix. Reboot.
