    Hi all,
We currently have a domain controller running SBS2000 and have recently purchased another server which we were going to use as a member server.
We are considering promoting it to a secondary domain controller. It is running Windows Server 2003r2 and already has the standard 5 Cals. If we do this will we need extra Cals or will our existing ones for our SBS Domain controller cover us?

    Many thanks

Windows Licensing is a complex mess, not a lot of people have an idea how it is all suppose to work.

Microsoft have an on-line License Advisor, don't know if that would work in your situation.
