I have recently started using LibreOffice.
I have installed the suite as well as the help file.
I think but not sure that when I pressed F1 for help I would get the on-board help, but now it accesses the help on the inter-net.
I have searched here and at their web site with no help.

Any suggestions would be of help.

    Thanks in advance

Hi Mopar, I have no experience with Libre so I downloaded and installed it to see what it was like. You are right - Help takes you to their web site where it's confusing.
Clicking on the (I) blue info icon on the Libre opening page I was taken to this site:http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/
Maybe this is what you want? Neil.

go to control panel and verify that the libreofffice help pack is installed. i installed libreoffice 4.1.3.2 without the built-in help and when i pressed F1 it opened my browser and took me to the online help site.
i then installed the help pack and when i pressed F1, it opened the built-in (on-board) help.

Help is installed, but pressing F1 takes me to their website.
I guess I'll keep working on it.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

mopar, did you check the link I Posted? Here's a paragraph from the pdf User Guide:
    Help system
LibreOffice comes with an extensive Help system
. This is your first line of support for using LibreOffice
.To display the full Help system, press F1 or select LibreOffice Help
from the Help menu. In addition, you can choose whether to activate Tips, Extended tips, and the Help Agent (using Tools>Options>LibreOffice>General).
If Tips are enabled, place the mouse pointer over any of the icons to see a small box (“tooltipâ€) with a brief explanation of the icon’s function. For a more detailed explanation, select Help > What's This? and hold the pointer over the icon

    Neil.

    Neil.

I checked your link but I have already been there. Also tried your suggestion from above but it's different than mine. I don't have Help Agent listed. I have 4.1 maybe that's the difference.

I found the pdf User Guides you talked about, I'll have a look there.

    Thanks for you help.

    Bob
