The download was successful, and the installation went without a hitch.

Although I have clicked the option for a link on the desktop to start the application, no link appears. So I don't how to start it.

I then deleted all the Libre Office files with Revo.

I am wondering if applications are not going to run from D but only from C, or what the problem could be with this application.

Why did you install it to a different drive?

    (posted in Linux Mint CD)

Because drive Drive C (30 GB) is at least 1/2 full and Drive D (50 GB) is almost empty, so I want to start using it.

Did you look in Start > All Programs for LibreOffice?

    *--- edit ---*

Just downloaded and installed it, (both files), to drive "D: ", on a Windows XP Pro w/SP3 machine.

It created an icon on the Desktop named "LibreOffice 3.5 ".

There are also several programs available in Start > All Programs > LibreOffice 3.5.

You could also start it in Windows Explorer by clicking the "soffice.exe" file in your "D:\Program Files\LibreOffice 3.5\program" folder.

there are two files you have to download and install in order for Libre Office. I hope I did that right. I first downloaded them both and saved to D.

Then I install Libre Office, then the Libre Office Help...

I looked in Start, All Programs, including the drop down menus.

I looked in Add/Remove programs. the only thing I found was the Libre Office help program.

In Add/Remove Programs I see two entries for LibreOffice:
    LibreOffice 3.5
    LibreOffice 3.5 Help Pack (english)
In Start > All Programs > LibreOffice 3.5 I see:
    LibreOffice
    LibreOffice Base
    LibreOffice Calc
    LibreOffice Draw
    LibreOffice Impress
    LibreOffice Math
    LibreOffice Writer

If you're not seeing the same thing, you might want to try starting over. Remove whatever you have in Add/Remove, delete the Downloads, re-Download and then re-Install.
