Hi iHD, Welcome to WindowsBBS :D

I assume you mean that you can turn the monitor on but don't get any picture?

If so do you see a No Signal message or similar?

What colour is the LED when you turn the power on?

Ok, sorry I can't help with this just now (I gave my old LG monitor away to a friend and won't see it for a week or so). To be honest I was hoping for a Red/orange or Green/Yellow (I'm colour blind) LED. I'm not too sure what blue represents.

I'll leave this for others to answer and perhaps follow up next week if no one else can help.

It is like mine, blue is "On "
If possible, you might have to try another Monitor in order to establish whether or not you are getting a signal from your computer.
At least then you will know if the problem is the Monitor or the Computer.

Why should i do that ?

i haven't repaired the monitor im asking for ...

Hawk22 asked me to test if the monitor was the problem and not the desktop

And read my reply i said im using a different monitor right now and every thing its fine with the desktop or graphic card, the problem is at the other monitor.

Do you have another desktop to test the LG monitor on and if the monitor works it might be the graphics card.

I wanted you to test the LG monitor on a different computer. Just to see if the monitor works at all and if it does work it might be your graphics card. If it does not work then it is the monitor. Just a process of elimination.

Because you have established that the monitor is faulty - end of story.

You posted that the blue led comes on so the odds are that the Power Supply is OK.

So it's likeky to be an internal fault - are you using the same video cable for the substitute monitor - if so it is not a cable problem.

It's clear then that the monitor has an internal fault.
