    Any details on that IEplore error? usually it's not iexplore.exe but the 2nd element mentioned in the details of the error. You have to click on the "details" button from the error popup.

    Perhaps your faultlog.txt has the details.

    ==Repair IE==Clear Ie's history==Objects/plug-ins
    If it's not a corruption in IE or IE's temp history/cookies or a disabled-problematic snafu from one of the component or plug-ins (check via IEs toolbar Tools>Internet Options>General Tab>Click on the middle category entitled "Temporary Internet Files ">settings button>view objects).....

    Then you need to take hard look at what your loading or running in the background "Programs that do not work or play well with others ". You have to stop all unnecessary programs from startup loading or running in the background. If it is a program, this will most likely have a known problem fix that will require a work-around, a patch or an updated version of the software.

    The purpose of adaware or spybot was to get rid of the background critters that your, most often not aware of, that are running.

    Updates!!! Versions DO COUNT
    Most important is to stay current on Microsoft Updates.
    Second is OEM support site updates/patches.
    Graphics are equally as important.
    Mouse is on the top 10 list
    (Virus program belongs in here somewhere, of course)
    ========
    The above info was just a general list of ideas until the full error and co-partnered component can be identified. When this known a more specific answer can be given.

    Keep in mind that help-nets archives will have plenty of past posts from users seeking fixes with an iexplore.exe or explorer.exe problem.

    Thank you goddez1 for your advice. I will try to take care of it. It seems to me that most of the time when I freeze up is when I am watching anywebcam.com. I dont get a popup giving details. When I freeze up,I use ctrl,alt,delete.When I look into the box I have to click awc and end task. That will bring me back to my desktop again. If I click my icon for anywebcam again,it will freeze. I have to click ctrl,alt,delete again. This time in the box it says lexplore[not responding].This is as you see it.Once I click end task,the program will come back on. It just drives me crazy!

    Just to add to what has been said
    1) anyweb.com may be causing the problem
    http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=anywebcam+spyware
    2) In view of that, are you updating reference files for AdAware and SpybotS&D before scanning?
    3) Repair IE. If #2 still shows no problems with anyweb, Start|Programs|Accessories|System Tools|System Information|Tools|Internet Explorer Repair Tool|Wait|Reboot.
    Personally I would also run HijackThis before #3, but let's see whether the problem has been found before that.

    I suspect spy/adware is the culprit. I looked through the Google search provided by Welshjim and noticed this link. In this person's HijackThis log, this guy had anywebcam.com listed in his Trusted Zone of IE, giving it rights to download and install anything. This strikes an alarm with me. At the very least I would check the Trusted Zone in Internet Options\Security, click on Trusted icon and see what is there. If there, remove it.
    Adaware and/or Spybot scans are in order, also.
