    Hi,
It seems like the resolution has been set very low OR the graphics drivers are not correct (I would not expect the resolution to go lower than 800 X 600 normally).

If it is too hard to work in normal mode, startup in VGA mode
Tap the F8 key rapidly before you would normally see the Windows loading screen at startup, to get to the Startup Options menu (Enable VGA mode).

Search for resolution in Help and Support -> "Change your screen resolution ".

You may have display settings controls in the Notification Tray (next to the time). Use those if they are available.

A resolution of 1024 X768 is not too high or too low. Make a selection around there. If you have a widescreen monitor, you will need to select a widescreen resolution (check the recommended resolution of the monitor).

If you make radical changes in the display settings it can have devastating results, so tread cautiously from now on.

    Matt

    Hi dhac,
I'm gonna take a gamble and point in the direction of your what's known as pixels needs to be adjusted...Here is what I would like you to do:
Step 1: Right click on an open area of your desktop screen
Step 2: Click on "Properties "
Step 3: Click on "Settings "
Step 4: On your left lower side you will see "screen resolution "
Step 5; The setting there may be too low...You can reset yours by placing
your mouse on the little pointer, left click and hold down the left
click as if your were going to highlight something and move that
    pointer to your right slowly.
Step 6: Mine is set at 1024 by 768...Not sure if this will be the appropiate
setting for yours or not...Once you have moved it over a notch or
two, release the mouse...You may be asked something about the
change, click ok and it will change momentarily.
Note: If everything changes your situation but is till not to your satisfacton,
you can repeat the above steps and lower it or raise it ???

Keep us posted and if by chance this did not correct your situation, than there's a remote chance something went amiss during the reinstallation...

How? A repair install or a format and clean install? If the latter have you loaded the motherboard chipset drivers and the video drivers for your graphics card?

Hmm - interesting - thanks for the update.

A repair install would 'try' to reinstall IE 6 - might not recognise that IE 7 was already on - that may be the root of the problem.

    First Thing!

have you tried going into your display settings in the control panel and selecting the settings tab and try reducing the resolution??
