Left Panel Mail Numbers

Hi All,

Sometime back there was a discussion about the amounts assigned to, for example, Mail, Trash, Sent, etc. in the left panel. As I remember it had to do with toggling a check in the left panel. Since I installed Thunderbird 2.0.0.5 I no longer have numbers associated with the various components in the left panel and have been unable to produce them. Who remembers? Thank you.

 

On top of the panel, where you se Name, etc. there is an icon, Theme dependent, on which you click on. You have three options, but all I care is the total size of the box. There should be a check mark next to total, size, unread.
I used the same profile from 2.0.0.4, and had to do nothing to get the same readings.

Thank you for the prompt reply but I can't find the word 'Name' any where above the panels. As I recall the earlier post had several go-arounds before the poster was satisfied. If you can dig up your earlier reply it may help. Or, maybe you can be more explicit about the location of the toggle point.

Enable this setting: Tools | Options | Advanced:
Show expanded columns in the folder pane

Then click on the small icon at the top right of the folder pane for your choice of columns. See this Screen Shot. The cursor is pointing to the icon.

That did it!!! The icon was well hidden but your responses dug it out. Even the word 'Name' became visible. Thank you both; my numbers are now back.
