Left click is double clicking now. I tried a new mouse but still same problem.
I uninstalled the mouse and restarted the computer. No fix
I went to Control panel/mouse and moved the slider several times with no change
Searched online and found this: I ran command prompt as admin and ran Dism/online/cleanup-image/restore health with no solution
    Ran sfc/scannow
Searched this site but found nothing of use except to change the mouse which I have already done.

Is there anything else I can try?

    Have you rebooted your computer?

Press Windows Key + X to open Power User Menu and select Device Manager from the list. When Device Manager opens locate your mouse or touchpad and double click it to open its properties. Go to the Driver tab and click the Roll Back Driver button. Wait for the Windows 10 to roll back to the older version of the driver.

    Have you tried theses suggestions?

I tried your suggestion to roll back the mouse driver but that option is grey and I can't click on it.
On the site you recommended I went to Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - No option for Configure a device. I only have Use a printer - troubleshoot audio recording - troubleshoot audio playback.
I also went to Settings - Update and security - Troubleshoot but there is no option for Hardware and devices.

Type-> Control Panel in search area..... Look in "File Explorer Options" and see the Click Items as follows and make sure it's on Double-Click.

I'm using W10 Pro 64bit and in my Control Panel > Mouse > I can adjust click speed and scroll wheel etc.
Double click speed is also available. Are you using the same area in your version of W10?

Yeah. This is where I went to begin with to adjust the double click. I moved the slider several times to see if I could find a spot that would help out some but no luck so I put it back where it was.

Have you tried to uninstall it from the same place as above and reboot and let windows pick it back up and see if it still happens?

Get the latest drivers from Logitech and remove the MS wireless dongle (USB plug) shutdown comp and use your wired one.
Then start comp and let it record change of mouse then shut down and remove wired mouse and refit wireless dongle again and start comp and see if it works OK.

I did my yearly cleaning (dusting) a few days ago and the mouse is working normally. I can't really understand it since the computer is never that dusty to begin with. I don't know, at least it's not double clicking any more and that's all that matters.
Thanks everyone for your help and patience.
