I have swapped from a 15" monitor to a 20" monitor for my DELL computer but now find that the writing instead of being a sharp black, is now 'grey and fuzzy' on all the programmes. Is there any way I can sharpen the this please?

Quick reply-> look for the "Clear Type" Windows option and reverse the setting that it's on now.

Also make sure the graphics are set to the native resolution of the new monitor.

    ... which on a 20" Dell is probably either 1600x1200 (76 Hz) or 1600x900 (60 Hz).

(Google your Dell monitor's model number to find out for sure).

Thank you all so much.I followed all the instructions you gave me (thank you Spyware Dr for telling me the exact way how to do this) and it has worked!!!!! It is such a relief to have my monitor now back to normal and if anything it is clearer and sharper than it was on the old monitor.
So grateful of this site it solves my problems every time.♥
