Hey, when i unplug my laptop fromt he mains, to wireless, the screen settings change so the colour is not as good, so therefore harder to see. My sister's laptop is exactly the same and someone changed the settings so when unplugged the screen brightness is the same. How do i do this? I tried on control panel and settings, but coud not do it:mad: Anyone no how to change this?

    More Info

Fujitsu siemens amilo pro. The only options are; to turn off or hibernate when plugged in/out.

    Screen resolution is 1280x800.

    Thanks alot.

On the keyboard are a set of Fn keys - these are secondary functions of existing keys and are only active when the Fn key is depressed. If you look at the top row of keys you should see some have have a second logo in a different colour - there should be a couple there for increasing/decreasing the brightness of the display.

Best to look in the manual for the right keys - my laptops are HP :)

Many laptops have a setting in the bios that can be turned on or off. The default usually is "dim screen when running on battery" or similar wording. Some oem laptops, such as Acer, install their own Power Mgmt utility, and access that bios setting directly (to dim or not to dim). Personally, I always uninstall the manufacturer Mgmt utilities and use the bios & built in Windows utilities.
