I have a laptop that I couldn't get on the internet so I thought it must be the modem while I was troubleshooting the computer went dead I couldn't find the battery and also I tested the power cord to see if it was ok and it was. Power light and the I believe the power cord light is blinking. And also the other light next the the screen is also blinking I mean below the screen. Now I don't know much about laptops but it seems that the power supply if its got one is dead. You can hear something is trying work but nothing is coming up on the screen. Even the BIOS in not coming up.

    Hi Billy,
On the (only) laptop I have worked on... :D ...you needed to hold the power button down for several seconds to get it to reset.

Tip...download the manual/User Guide. Flashing lights should be covered there.
    :)

laptops have many different options, and are quite specific to make/model. Please give us make/model #'s to help you better.

How long have you had this laptop?
    How old is the battery?
