    Hi

We have a number of PC and one laptop. The laptop is our only VISTA machine. We have recently had automatic updates which when competed and start to install, HANG on 1/11 updates. The only way I can reboot the PC to get around this is to turn it off. When they hang they hang for hours before we turn the PC off.

I cannot find a way to stop this keep happening - any ideas and how we can fix this. I have hit teh MS website but to no avail.

    Many thanks

Hi Southenboyuk. Try downloading and installing those 11 updates 1 at a time from the Microsoft website and reboot after each one has been installed. Hopefully your computer won't hang when you reboot it after each update. I know it may be time consuming but this way if your computer does hang then you will know which update caused the problem. :)

Hi, Had the same problem with a Acer laptop that I purchased ( Ex Demmo ) and it had not had any updates since last year, it down loaded 91 update but would not install them, and each time I went on it said they were ready for down load, after much trying I tried installing 2 and it went OK then 12 , then: 30 and so on now it downloads any new ones with no problems,
May be worth a try, Cheers Des.:)
