I have office 2013 installed and was looking for a German language pack.
it got me to an Office 2016 language pack. I downloaded it, when I tried to install it, it tells me that several programs will be uninstalled ( all) and can not be re-installed after the upgrade.
Q: will this replace the uninstalled programs?
and is this a free upgrade?
I am reluctant to go any further without clarification on what is going to happen.
    any advice?
    Thanks
    Sven

Thanks for the link, but I know how to add the language pack, but the link to language pack for 2013 does not work. it tells me that the page is no longer available. at that page you can click on "word ", but it gets you to word 2016, and I am back where I started from.
I guess the language pack for 2013 has been scraped in favor of 2016. as I said above, I have the 2016 pack, but it wants to uninstall my programs and they can not be reinstalled.

I imported a German letter and word recognized it was German and then offered to download the language pack, and that got me to the 2016 pack, not the 2013 pack.

what will happen when it installs the pack? do I then have to pay a fee every month?
    Thanks
    Sven

Yes SVEN, I noticed most of the Googling I did related to MS Office 2016 even when heading stated 2013 Language Pack. I don't know what will happen when you install the Pack. Maybe a phone call to MS will be one way to get a definitive answer.
You certainly don't want to lose your 2013 software. Neil.
