Lan using wireless router

    Hi i m having netgear wireless router and 3 laptops... Now i want to create a lan without internet connection... Can i do it with these things? Then how to create....? And later can i share internet connection by connecting to one laptop alone with remaning laptops....? Os is xp sp2 in all laptops......... And in xp i have option of create wireless network how can i create with it?what r the things required for it?

    If you connect a wireless router to a set of computers either via wire or wirelessly, the router will act as a switch/wireless access point and connect the computers together. So just don't connect anything to the WAN port on the router and you'll be fine.

    If you later want to connect all the PC to the internet, connect the WAN port to your internet connection (though you will need to check that they are compatible - not all broadband connections are the same). You will not need to use XP's internet connection sharing if you have a router - a router shares the connection for you.
