I am looking for information on LAN to USB print servers.

I have a Canon S900 Inkjet that has USB connection only. I would like to connect it to an ethernet network so I can print from the laptop or the desktop.

The Desktop is a circa 1997 Dell PC (Win 98SE) that does not have USB. I have tried adding a USB card but it will not work for more than a few minutes.

The laptop is a Dell Inspiron (Win ME)

I have seen several of these "Print Servers" advertised, and I am trying to see if anyone has actually used one for an inkjet printer.
    Examples are:

    Hawking Technologies

    IOGEAR

    Any information will be appreciated.

I haven't used either device. But that particular piece of technology (translation from serial/parellel/usb to><from ethernet) is so standard I'd be very surprised if any major vendor had one on the market that wasn't solid and reliable.
