A while back, I sought help for an issue where my Lexmark printer was giving a "Langauge error" message and refusing to run a lot of its features.

In case other folks have had similar problems, I thought I'd post what seems to be the root issue.

I was loading a new version of the printer program and, when I saw all the weird international langauaes (Cyrillic, Arabic, Persian, etc.), I decided I could save disc space by eliminating them. Unfortunately, Lexmark checked with what langauges the various Microsoft programs had and found it was lacking quite a lot.

Just why Lexmark chose to shut off most of its features because of this issue, I don't know. When I reloaded Lexmark with the full set, it was fine.
