Ive been playing games online (day of defeat) and using the keypad and mouse. ive used kp enter as my crouch and it has worked fine up until today (june 26). Now for some reason when i press the kp enter it wants to act as my left windows key, as though i am clicking on the start button. When im in my game and i crouch (kp enter) it minimizes the game and the start menu comes up. Whats up with this screwy thing??? I tried reloading dod, i tried rebooting, i tried using my gateway goback program to reset my computer to about 3 days ago but nothing works. Where can i look at the settings for my keboard?
any help on this will be appreciated.

    thanx

oh yea, im using a gateway p3 800mhz with 384m of ram, plenty of hd space. a geforce 2 vid card and soundblaster compatible sound card.

could it be that my keyboard is bad?? It is kinda dirty. I would think that that would make it quite working rather than make keys (i noticed the kp right arrow is crossed w/ another key too) double up (then enter works as enter, but if i hold it for more than a second it want to act as im clicking the start tab on desktop).

Try looking in Control Panel>Keyboard...poke around to see if there's anything obviously needing resetting...like the language the keyboard is being told to use.

If the game you've been playing has a way to set keyboard options for gameplay, poke around in there to see if there's anything obvious.
