Hello,i have xp pro with all updates but sp2.my system crashed over the weekend.it said system\config error right before it boots.so i reinstalled xp.but not everything else, games ect.everything runs fine.except that now when you fill in the boxes for search or forums it runs some sort of script saying all this ****.by that i mean something like He went down the road ... and ...his arm .... . yes its sounds crazy but thats what its doing.i can wait and then use the box, after backspacing and deleting that message again..im running adaware and have no spyware.i have no viruses.somethings on this pc that wasnt thier before.ive checked dls and everything seems to be normal.im sure ive missed something but this is weird.sorry if i left anything out.the only thing i dled extra was java script 1.4 from sun systems because xp doesnt use java.if this could be the problem then after uninstalling java 1.4,what should i use?thanks up front

Truth be told , I'm not real anxious to jump in and spend time trying to solve a strange problem for you. The last 4 problems you posted about were answered by someone and we never heard a word about the fix helping or not.

Everyone on this forum works for free and we spend time helping folks because we enjoy it. But very few of us enjoy offering an idea and never hearing the results.

Occasionally we are receiving PM's thanking us for a fix. Problem is others don't know that a fix was found. ;)

    Feedback is good for everyone.

Is The Sun Java the only thing you downloaded? Did you get it from the Sun website?

Just by your description, I'd say something infected your computer, caused it to crash, and, even after the reinstall (or repair that you did) of XP, it's still there OR you didn't download the real Sun Java.

You will need to be as specific as possible in order to get the most help from the board. Look in your Task Manager for any unfamiliar processes running, or post a HJT log next. C&P the message you are getting- maybe it will ring a bell with someone.
