Just unpacked a new computer for my wife and about half of the keystrokes do not register, I am running Windows XP,sp2 and a Logtech keyboard. I swapped the keyboard with another keyboard with the same results.I cannot register my copy of Windows because of this. Anybody have a suggestion?

checked plugs just in case, not the problem. Even tried onscreen keyboard, same keys do not register.

If it's a USB keyboard, try plugging it into a different USB port.

If it has a round plug, make sure you have it plugged into the keyboard port. Easy enough to plug the mouse into the keyboard port and the keyboard into the mouse port...happens to even the experts.
