Keyboard Favorites stops working

MS 4000 Ergo Keyboard.
The favorites buttons stop working frequently, maybe when I reboot. I go to the control panel and simply select one of the keys/okay and they're all back.

I also have a Logitech wireless mouse. I'm guessing some service or process is not starting up or is deleted.

 

If you have misplaced your keyboard install disk, the following download will install only the required drivers.
Microsoft Keyboard driver 6.1 (Intellitype Pro 6.1)
I use this recently to install new MS keyboards on two different computers ... eliminated all the "Forceware" that comes on many install disks today.

The above program when loaded, provides a "List" of the most popular MS Keyboards (includes Vista support). Click / highlight your correct keyboard and press continue. Be sure to UNINSTALL your old MS 4000 Ergo Keyboard program (should be in "All Programs" list. Creating a "New Restore Point" is always a good idea.

Microsoft will have the full keyboard name on the backside of the keyboard.
