When typing, the keyboard won't let me type the same letter or number twice in a row. I have to wait 2-3 seconds to do so, which really slows me down. I'm wondering if this is some type of setting that is out of whack? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Well, the 'standard' suggestions are to try another keyboard if you have access to one and to remove the keyboard in Device Manager and reboot.

Is this a wired or wireless keyboard - or a laptop?

I uninstalled the keyboard in Device Manager and rebooted and it corrected the problem. I guess the drivers must have been corrupted somehow. Oh, and by the way, it was a wired keyboard.

Thanks for your help. Windowsbbs to the rescue once more!
