Kernel32.DLL problem

    Hi guys, I keep getting Illegal Operations with several programs at Kernel32.DLL, Can I safely replace this file without losing vital info?

    As I understand it, W98 (&SE) may be loaded on top of existing OS without consequence. I learned this on this BBS and have done it several times. This practice may restore function of dll.

    Just wait for another confirming or denying response for the kernel32.dll.

    Yes, you can replace it 'straight from the box' - its still at 4.10.2222.

    Yes, you can replace the file from the CD, there has been no updates to it. If after doing so, and an error message pops up, please note it. If you have TweakUI installed, you can use it to have windows log all errors to Faultlog.Txt .
