kernel memory,physical memory??!!..huuh??

    hi all well it is my first time to post in here ...it is really amazing to see many ppl is chatting about their computer problems in here ..it is very good to share ur opinion with the others so good...

    well i just need to know something .i always open the task manager and i see in the performance kernel memory,physical memory,commit charge and totals..what does all that mean..?..and what i suppse to get from the graph shown infront of me with the percentage details?..what is that...second ...there is something happens to me while i get starting the pc..i usualy see the cpu processing taking over 90% and sometimes100%..what shall i do?..it usually bother me cause it hangs the pc so what shall i do?..i always try to en it's proceesing and open the explorer once again from a new task..and it works..but that is teporarily until i get a solution can u help me plz..thank u :)

    Here's your explination of what task manager is showing you.

    The problem you describe sounds like something on the machine is running at high CPU utilization. Using task manager, go to the processes tab and click on CPU to sort by cpu time the next time it occurs. Note what you were doing, and the name of the application. Try to determine what the application is doing. Look for updates to the application.

    thank u so much but well i wana know what is the meaning of paged and nonpaged files..and what is the meaning of commit charge..totals ,handels and threads?..what does all that means...sorry for bothering with silly questions.. :)

    Please take another look at that link. It explains in minor detail what those things measure. If you have specific questions after reading that, feel free to post a followup question. A lot of information can be searched on the web too, tons of info about most of this stuff out there,
