Keep getting booted of the internet after reinstall...

I use a DSL to connect to the net and just reinstalled, now I keep getting knocked of the internet for no reason!

Duh!

Any help would be nice

If everything else is OK.

IE/OE may have gotten curupted somehow even if new install.

So reinstall IE by the following:

run command

type or copy/paste the following and run it

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\Inf\ie.inf

After reinstall get IE updates from M$!

But did you do a clean install or reinstall over an existing OS?

Have you run SpyBot or Adaware?

I installed over the top of my old XP Setup

Yes, No adware (a few cookies but there fine)

 

Ok so nothing else has a problem?

Then do the reinstall as I advised, then go for the windows update for IE6.

Let me know how it goes.
