I am using Netscape Communicator 4.76 with Windows ME. When I attach a file to an e-mail I send [whether a .txt file or a phote .jpg], the file shows up fully opened at the end of the e-mail message.
I would prefer to have the "attached" file show up as a rectangular box with the file name in it, ---so that the recipient clicks on the attachment filename to open or save it.
I have gone to Netscape Edit and selected Preferences, and looked thru all e-mail items and all "Advanced" items. I find nothing to achieve what I want.
Is it possible? How do I do it?

[Embarassed to be so dumb about this!]

    Yes, it is possible.
In Netscape 4.xx Mail window, do not tick View Attachements Inline.

Thanks Antony!! I clkd on "view" and found that "view attachments in-line" was checked. So I unchecked it. Presumably this will wholly solve my problem. Thanks.
