Windows Vista kb950762 will not install

I cannot install kb950762, I have been trying to install vista sp1. After
following suggestions to install sp1, I discovered that kb950762 had failed to install. Now kb950762 will only install so far and then fail. I have tried to install it from my flashdrive and have used ccleaner to remove any messed up files, but still no luck. Thanks

I suggest you don't try to "force" the installation. Something is jamming it. If you cannot see any leads to what might be happening (the culprit), I would look at updating whatever drivers and software I could before trying again.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer and find any driver updates.

Think about what software might be getting old or not completely compatible and look for updates. It would probably be an important piece of software to affect Windows Updates.

I would look at why it won't install, not "forcing" to get it installed.
