When the November rollup update appeared on my pc to download, i leave it for a few days and check on the web for anything going wrong with other people downloading the updates, before i do it myself, so, not seeing anything bad or anything decided to hit the download button, but nothing happened, the progress bar just kept going round and round staying at 0kb.
Also included was the windows defender update so selected that on its own and that downloaded and installed, i tried again and again but the same happening, i also have another pc with windows 7 and exactly the same happened to that, with the windows defender update downloading and installing shows that there is nothing wrong on my side, i cant even find anything or anyone having the same problem, does anyone know what's happened

I am not a Windows Update expert and I don't know what happened in your case but I had this happen more than once on more than one system here. I just waited it out and in each case, the problem cleared itself.

Note the rollups are mostly compilations of the previous updates since the last rollup. If you are diligent at keeping your computer updated (save a day or two while listening for fall-out), you keep your security likewise updated, and you are not "click-happy" on unsolicited downloads, attachments, links, and popups, I would not worry about this as your system likely does not really need the roll-up.

If the problem persists, you could always run the Windows Update Troubleshooter (see last FAQ).

Then again, if me - since you obviously take care to stay otherwise current - I would wait a week or so and see what happens. It may just be WU knows you already applied all the updates to this point and the roll up is not needed. That's a guess, but unless and until someone else comes in with something different, that's what I am sticking with. :)
