Just wanna thank youse guys

I've been reading posts on WBBS for many years and it's one of my main learning tools...

The other day a friend called me in a tizzy... all of the monitors on his office network save the one attached to the server had gone nuts... all were showing hash instead of images. After a few minutes on the phone, I determined that it was probably driver-related, found and posted the (probably) correct driver sets on my website for him to d/l and install and - thanks to the education I got here - all was repaired and operating in a few minutes.

Needless to say that when I spoke to him later in the day to check, he was completely sure I was wearing a mask and had a rattle in my hand....

Upshot is I got my taxes done free this year and I get 1/2 off next years's as well! (He's a franchisee of a National tax preparing company.)

See? You CAN do well by doing good!

(Now, what else can I do to his system remotely? He's got some fine Scotch in his cabinet....)

That's how I started on Windows BBS back in early 2002 - I just installed XP and was looking for info on this then new OS.
