Hello Arie, and everyone at WBBS.

A lot to digest in the Welcome Guide and elsewhere. What does it mean, btw, that (It is forbidden) "to push a thread "?

    A bit of background:

A "silver surfer" of some fourteen years now, the one thing I know about computers is that the more I learn about them, the more convinced I become that I don't know diddly about them. (In fact, they know far more about me!) Even though I have built and re-built over that time, six or seven systems, for myself and for my family, I am still probably the worse troubleshooter anywhere. (Not a statistician by nature, but a poet, logical deduction does not come easy to me.) So I fear I will not be of much help in that area--but I'll try. God knows, I've been through enough.

Oh--and I know one other thing:

Computers definitely do not make mistakes; the snide little buggers do it quite deliberately!

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)
Without seeing the exact reference I guess it means that you do not 'Bump' a thread which places it at the top of the current list of threads.

I see. (The instruction not to "push" threads was somewhere in the guidelines.)

    thanks
