just plain weird

This is one for the books! sometimes when I go to open one of my folders in my inbox it will show that I have 2 new messages in that folder, but when I click on the folder it will change to 1 new message from 2. Now if I go to my spam folder low and behold there it is! labled as spam.! now I know I did not hit any buttons or click on anything but that folder,so how did it get sent there! any Ideas thanks

 

If you have a relatively newly installed program, the Junk controls have to be trained, but they are inept little characters at the beginning.
Example: I just added another e-mail account to Moz1.8a6. I entered my password, and six messages came up, and one after the other they were marked Junk. Moz was kind enough for me to react, and click on the Junk icon to accept them. And, everything was ok today.
But, always look for the pesky icon. If you are given time or react fast enough, uncheck them. If you let them slip by, uncheck them first, from the
the Junk folder, right click on the header, and select Move to|Inbox

 

thx for the reply, but I have had 1.7.3 for a long time and I have trained it well !
when they come in the junk mail goes where it is suppose to,(junk folder) and filters I have setup take all the rest to where they are suppose to go!(fred,rick,BBs,ect.) the problemb is when i click on a folder (after all the junk mail and filters have run on the incoming mail and put it where it is suppose to be) it will take one out of the folder which is not marked junk and mark it junk and put it in the junk folder!

 

It is weird all right, but I have, also, had the most trouble with Moz1.7.3. And, that was the one which required a new profile in going from 1.7 to 1.7.1. I am still using the same profile which I did for 1.7.1, but it never did what you describe. A new profile may do the trick, but you have to know how to get the old mail in the new profile, or just delete one account, and then enter it again.

I do know how to save all of my mail,bookmarks, ect. but is it worth it! I dont think so! not for a problemb that is so small at this time!
