Hello Everyone,

Let me introduce myself. I am 61 years old. I have been working with computers since the atari, commodore, and the first commercial PC, the amstraad (8088). I build and fix pc's, having been self taught, but there is a lot I don't know. I hope to use this forum and site to solve problems that may be beyond me. All I do know is most problems can be fixed in some way.

I have Connect to my PC and will connect to PC's remotely to fix for the cost of the session.

I have a 5 PC Wireless network with redundant protection. I am familiar with networking having set up my own and 2 5 pc commercial networks for friends of mine.

I am on linked in and windows live. I have several blogs mostly related to genealogy (I have been doing that for 35 years) and conservative politics.

I am willing to help out anyone that may want to take advantage of some of my experience. I have seen most problems and have been able to find fixes. However, there are a few that sometimes are above my abilities to solve. I have one now with a dell 3100, I think it is an overheating problem in that the dell processor doesn't have a cooling fan, just a large heat sink. When it overheats it shuts down and attempts to reboot, over and over. I am working on that. I am leaning toward replacing the heat sink with a cooling fan and adding an extra case fan for ventilation. Anyone have any suggestions, let me know.
