A friend bought a cheap computer & decided on Juno for email & web surfing. I downloaded & installed Juno. We went through everything required, (Name, email name, credit card no., etc), and wrote messages for email. The messages are still in the Outbox & cannot be sent. He also cannot receive email that I tried to send him. He can get on the web. Now the ads are gone, so I guess he is on the pay type instead of free. I have had Juno for about 8 years, and have put it on 3 computers with no problems. I have not found anything on support at Juno web site that comes close to this problem. Also do not know of phone no. to call for help.

wahlroot--Can your friend access/send email from Juno's internet website?
    http://webmail.juno.com/
Sometime last year Juno stopped offering email service the old way--by just opening the Juno EMail program (without connecting to the Internet). (Though I thought they had kept this for paying customers.)

HI!! Welshjim! He is a paying customer, and is not getting his moneys worth. Web mail does not work either. I presume it is caused by the Juno mail system. He is not home now. I will give him the phone number to call when he gets home.

By the way, I have e-mail with Juno. I pay $9.95 per year, and get 10 hours per month, which I do not use. I have this to keep my address, which I have had since I bought my first computer, about 10 years ago. I use DSL with Qwest, our local phone company for web surfing. Maybe I use some of that internet time for sending and receiving e-mail. Do not know.

    wahlroot--Let us know what happens.
Of course, your friend could try to set up a new Juno account, but then he would lose whatever money he has paid.
I still have free Juno (in case of emergencies)--not even $9.95 per year. As you say, limited to 10 hours/month. I now have cable and can access the Juno webmail site for email. Though I have not had an emergency lately, the last time I tried, I was still able to get to Juno Internet and email on dialup.
