My sister uses Juno and her e-mail access works fine but any websites she tries to access cause the 'server not found' response. Before this problem, she used whatever Juno enabled for her web access, i.e. she doesn't use IE. I searched this BBS for similar problems and found two but their threads were closed so am starting this one. She has XP but I don't know yet what other s/w versions are.... Any help out there?

Steve - I'm sorry I'm ignorant of the details at this point, but I'm thinking that Juno has a web browser 'built in'... she said she doesn't use IE... this problem is made more difficult by the fact that she's in NC w/me in Fla and we both have dialup access which precludes us being able to try stuff while talking, etc... in fact I'm going to hang up now so I can phone ehr and find out more.. thnx..

Steve - more info.. offline, the Juno window has three options: Read Mail, Write mail and WEB. The Read Mail then has the option of Recieve new mail, which, when clicked, dials Juno's server. Clicking WEB also, of course, dials Juno too. It is unknown at this point if Juno uses IE behind one's back as the browser - it may do so. The problem is that there is nbo apparent effort to 'go out' on the web at all. Trying to access any website yields an almost immediate (2 to 3 seconds only) response of 'server not available' (+/-)....

I've suggested to her that she manually try a different phone number of Juno's in the unlikely possibility that the number she IS cnnecting with is establishing the connection OK, but is overloaded/corrupted on the back end that needs to go out on the web.. as the e-mail dbase could be physically on the server that answers the phone, thereby giving her access to that OK.

    Any ideas?
