I just recently notice the normal icon used to identify my Jpg, Jpeg etc files have changed. When you look in any folders with any picture files the icon displayed is now this one [IMG]

Could someone tell me how to change it back to what it should be.

BTW, if you go to "Tools" then look in the "File Types" it shows the proper icon, but when viewing them in the folders where the pics are stored it shows the one I provided the link for above.....

Do jpg's still open in the correct program when you double click on them. If so, what program are you using to view them with?

I use windows picture and fax viewer, and they still open correctly

Do you think deleting the "IconCache.db" file and rebooted would fix it?

That would be my first suggestion. Give that a try and let us know how it turns out.

I tried deleting the file "IconCache.db" however it did nothing. I still have the same problem.

Just a short note for you here to tell you that the fix from MS-MVP Doug Knox site WORKED...everything is now back to normal.

Thank you for the suggestion and link. :)
