Jetway 531CF HHD capacity Probs

    I've got a PC running win98se, i flashed to the latest Bios update and i want to fit a 30GB HD(2.1gig original). The trouble is that i can set the Bios to reckonise the 30gig HD but when i save bios and exit it will only report 4.5gig. Any help please

    I guess your motherboard will only see up to 4.5 GB. I had the same problem with my Aptiva. I would only see up to 4.2GB. You should be able to get around this with the software that comes with the drive. I put in a Maxtor drive and used their MaxBlast software to overcome the 4.2 limit.
