Friends please help.. I installed Java few days back but then it got accidentally deleted somehow :( Now when I am trying to reinstall it, a msg is popping "this software has already been installed on your computer. Would you like to reinstall it?" followed by another msg "This action is valid only for products that are currently installed ".. Moreover, I tried to uninstall java first by "add or remove programs ", but when I couldn't then I used "windows install clean up ". But still an icon (somewhat like a blank page) remains in control panel as Java.

It would be a great help if someone can get me out of this.

Go to the add and remove and remove, restart and start with basic java. Sounds like you may be trying to download a different applet.

Remove all thru add and remove.
